Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These terms apply when you download, try or buy AnyPlay. By using AnyPlay you agree to them.

Free trial

You can use AnyPlay free for 7 days from the first time you open it. After that, videos won't play until you enter a license key.

Your license

Buying AnyPlay gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use it on your own Macs, up to the number of Macs stated at purchase. The license does not expire. You can move it to a different Mac by deactivating it in AnyPlay → Settings → License, or by contacting support.

Please don't share, resell or publish your license key, or try to get around the trial or license checks. We may disable keys that are shared publicly or bought fraudulently, or whose payment is refunded or reversed.

Updates

Your purchase includes all future updates to AnyPlay. Prices for new customers may change; this doesn't affect licenses already bought.

Payments

Our reseller, Lemon Squeezy, processes orders as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoices and applicable taxes. Lemon Squeezy's terms also apply to your purchase.

Refunds

See our refund policy.

Your content

AnyPlay plays files that are already on your Mac. You are responsible for having the right to play them. AnyPlay does not remove copy protection.

Open-source software

AnyPlay includes open-source components, including mpv, FFmpeg and libplacebo, licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) and other open-source licenses. Their license terms apply to those components, and they override these terms where the two conflict. Email us to get the source code of these components.

No warranty

AnyPlay is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will play every file or work on every Mac or display. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using AnyPlay, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update this page and the date above.
